2/16/2018 0 Comments Life Choice: To Tell the Truth? In the podcast What You Don't Know (Lulu Wang). Lulu wang explains the time when her family and herself finds out that her grandmother has terminal cancer and only three weeks to live. Instead of telling her grandmother her family decides not to tell her and come up with this elaborate idea to fake a wedding so that the whole family can see her without things being suspicious. Did you agree with the family's choice to deceive Wang's grandmother? Yes. I do agree with Lulu and her family's decision to keep her grandmothers diagnosis away from her. Although, I know it was hard for Lulu and her family to lie straight to NiNi's face, I Believe they made the best decision for her, because due to her old age they didn't think that she could handle the news of her terminal cancer and would die even sooner than the time the doctor gave from worrying. I think that even if they would have told NiNi of her condition she would be more worried of how everyone else felt other than her own well being. I say this because when she was diagnosed with breast cancer she didn't tell anyway cause she thought they wouldn't worry. NiNi lived past the time the doctor gave her because in her mind she was in perfect health and she lived that way for years after her diagnosis.
